What a year! Even in the most normal of times, December is a great month to stock of the previous eleven months and look ahead with a newfound perspective. This year, I’m really excited about the second part of that sentiment!
I know I’ve learned a lot this year. I’ve learned how to navigate endless Zoom calls. I’ve learned how to turn live events into virtual events and ensure those virtual events are still productive and meaningful. I’ve learned that connection and a little creativity are so important when you can’t always be face-to-face. While 2020 has certainly been interesting, I don’t think I’m alone in wanting to kick it to the curb and see what new adventures 2021 has in store.
Despite all that this year has thrown at us, the team at Professional Distributor magazine and Endeavor Business Media has not only tried to survive, but we’ve continually sought out ways to grow and improve. I’m excited to report that some wonderful opportunities have emerged despite the uncertainties of this year – many of which we hope will have a positive impact on you, the reader.
Earlier this year the Endeavor Business Media automotive repair group, consisting of Professional Distributor, Professional Tool & Equipment News (PTEN), and VehicleServicePros.com, joined forces with Motor Age magazine and its supporting products. Not only does this mean we get to feature more great content, but we get to collaborate with some true industry pros and grow all of our brands.
Another update I’m really excited to share is the launch of a new and improved VehicleServicePros.com. VSP – home to PD and PTEN magazines – will now integrate the Motor Age, Auto Body Repair Network (ABRN), and Aftermarket Business World publications (all previously part of SearchAutoParts. com), in addition to PD and PTEN. The new site is set to launch this month.
The site will continue to provide information, insight, and intelligence on trends and technology so you can stay engaged and well-informed. VehicleServicePros 2.0 will also feature a robust product guide (of course!) so you can stay up-to--date on the latest tools, equipment, and parts, and share that information with your customers.
This is jus tone project on our plate, and I look forward to sharing more plans and ideas with you all as we look ahead to a new year and a new start. What projects and plans do you have on tap?
Stay busy, stay safe, and enjoy a happy and prosperous new year.
