The Camera Assisted Retrieval Tool (CART) from Ullman Devices allows the user to visually locate and retrieve dropped objects with the aid of a flexible arm, camera, lights, pick-up claw, and magnet. Features include a 480p camera with 3" viewing screen, four LEDs with six brightness levels, a 32" long bendable arm, a retractable four-pronged pick-up claw, a 4-lb magnetic tip, and IP67 water resistance. Four AA batteries are included.

Application

The CART is best suited to aid with automotive repairs, marine repairs and maintenance, HVAC and plumbing, residential inspections and repairs, and general facility and equipment repairs.

 Features and benefits

  • With the assistance of a 480P camera and four LED lights with adjustable brightness, the CART lets the technician quickly find small components in dark, tight spaces.
  • The integrated trigger lock keeps the claw retracted while navigating the flexible 32” arm. Simply release the trigger lock and check the viewfinder to capture those lost parts.
  • Its 4-lb magnet and four-pronged claw make the CART the go-to solution for pick-up no matter the target, says the company.
  • Guiding the camera into narrow spaces is easy thanks to the sturdy, bendable arm that maintains its configured shape during use.
  • The IP67 level water-resistant camera head offers versatility.
  • The non-slip grip helps prevent dropping from wet or oily hands.

Selling points

  • The CART incorporates visual inspection, magnetic and mechanical pick-up, as well as specialty electronics into a single tool.
  • Its design is tailored to suit the needs of professionals who need the functionality of an LED-lit borescope combined with multiple pick-up options.
  • The CART is one-of-a-kind, says the company.

Origin

The Camera Assisted Retrieval Tool was designed to bridge the gap between mechanical and magnetic pick-up with the added benefit of real-time camera feed to aid in accuracy. This pairing of technologies means technicians can save time searching for lost items and quickly recover them from small, cramped areas without additional lights or tools.

Manufacturing/engineering specifications

CART weighs 5.3 lbs and features four LEDs with six adjustable brightness levels, an adjustable screen orientation, a retractable 4-prong mechanical pick-up claw, a 480p LCD screen, 3" viewing screen, and includes four AA batteries.

Storage and display

The product is packaged as an individual unit. For display, the company recommends placing CART in a high-traffic display fixture and/or near the till.
