April 12, 2019
Only 11 percent of shops use machines that service vehicles with R-1234yf refrigerant, and 22 percent of shops do not complete A/C services.
Each year the Aftermarket Profile, featured in the April issue of Professional Distributor, breaks down purchasing numbers and data reported by shop owners and technicians across the country. In the 2019 Aftermarket Profile, only 11 percent of shops reported using a R-1234yf RRR machine for A/C service, and 22 percent said they do not complete A/C services. This could represent a major opportunity for the right business. Encourage your customers to tool up on machines that can service R-1234yf.
