Key additions bring expertise in program management, sales, and content administration.

Automotive Parts Associates has announced the addition of three new members to its headquarters staff, all effective May 1, 2025. The shareholder-owned cooperative has welcomed Andrew Selby as program manager, Darryl Smith as inside sales manager, and Jarius Powers as content administrator.

Andrew Selby joins APA with 17 years of experience at Genuine Parts Company, where he advanced from warehouse order puller to senior category manager. In his new role, he will manage APA's supplier portfolio, focusing on strategic development, project oversight, and coordination of requests for proposals.

"I had worked closely with Lee in the past, and the opportunity to join an organization focused on the wholesale auto parts business really appealed to me," said Andrew. "After meeting the rest of the APA HQ team, I really appreciate the years of experience and family feel that APA brings to the industry."

Darryl Smith steps into the position of inside sales manager, where he will serve as a key contact for APA shareholders and TruStar members. Though new to the automotive aftermarket, Smith brings over three decades of sales and management experience from prominent car dealerships in the Memphis area.

"I was drawn to the inside sales manager position at Automotive Parts Associates because it offers an exciting opportunity to apply my 30+ years of experience in automotive sales and management," said Darryl. "I'm looking forward to helping our shareholders and members drive growth and strengthen their business connections. My first day was a great introduction to the parts side of the industry—it showed me just how much sales and service have in common."

Completing the trio of new hires, Jarius Powers takes on the role of content administrator, where he will manage and support the APA Information and Pricing Portal. Powers brings seven years of experience in online marketplace management and product data coordination from his previous position as assistant product manager at TruckPro.

"I applied for the content administrator position to combine two passions: 1) My passion for my web-based career, and 2) my budding passion for learning more about the auto industry. After my first day, I believe I made the right choice!" said Jarius. Product Director Lee Rodgers expressed confidence in the new team members, noting that Andrew's "extensive experience and strategic mindset will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen our supplier programs," while Darryl's "enthusiasm, people skills, and sales experience make him a great fit for this role."

Director of IT Chris Harman added that Jarius's "background in product data and digital operations will be a great asset as we continue to enhance the functionality and value of our portal."

APA is a shareholder-owned cooperative comprising over 475 independent auto parts distributor locations throughout North America.
