SMP's EVAP program now includes more than 1,200 part numbers across multiple categories.

Standard Motor Products, Inc. has expanded its Evaporative Emissions program with the introduction of more than 40 new applications, the company announced.

The Standard EVAP program now features more than 1,200 part numbers and is described as the most comprehensive EVAP program in the industry.

Many Standard EVAP components are manufactured at two of SMP's American facilities in Greenville, South Carolina, and Independence, Kansas. Each component undergoes precision engineering and testing for durability and OE-matching performance, including computer-controlled bench testing for resistance, leakage, response, and flow rates, plus on-vehicle validation at Standard's Vehicle Testing Center in Irving, Texas.

"The Standard® EVAP Program is a single-source solution for our distribution partners," stated John Herc, Vice President of Vehicle Control Marketing, SMP. "Industry-leading coverage in multiple EVAP categories and quality components that have been tested and validated allows our distribution partners to better service their customers while working with a single manufacturer."

The program includes Canister Purge Valves and Solenoids, Canister Vent Valves and Solenoids, Fuel Vapor Canisters, Fuel Vapor Leak Detection Pumps, Vapor Canister Purge Pumps, and various hoses.
