Lynn Parker, President of AACF, announced today the appointment of David Young to its Board of Trustees. "I have known David for many years and he has a tremendous amount of experience in the automotive aftermarket. David is very knowledgeable of the installer service segment of our industry which means that David understands how important service is to the aftermarket. David will bring a high level of service to the AACF which will equate in helping us find ways to help more people employed in our industry who have fallen on hard times and have nowhere else to turn. David will be a great asset to our board," Parker said.
David Young is Vice President of Valvoline LLC and oversees the US Light Duty National Account, Heavy Duty, and Canadian businesses. Over his 3-decade career, David has held leadership roles with Valvoline's channel partner, national accounts, marketing, and Valvoline Instant Oil Change businesses.
The newly appointed trustee is eager to apply his wealth of industry knowledge, experience and contacts combined with his intense desire to help those in need to their AACF board duties in an effort to reach more beneficiaries and increase AACF's recognition across the vast aftermarket landscape.

David and his wife Erin reside in Lexington, KY and have 2 children. Beyond spending time with his wife and kids and in various local community activities, David serves on the NATSO Foundation Board. NATSO is a national trade association providing solutions and advocating for public policy goals for truck stop / travel plaza operators.
