Auto Care Association releases second edition of Mexico Aftermarket Industry Report
The Auto Care Association today released the second edition of its research report on the Mexican aftermarket, titled2019 Mexico Market Report: An Assessment of Mexico’s Light Passenger Vehicle Aftermarket. The report was developed in partnership with the research firm Integrate Data Facts (IDF), and provides a comprehensive look into the size and scope of Mexico’s auto care sector.
The majority of Mexico’s trade is conducted with the United States, with $830 billion dollars in total goods and services traded between the two countries in 2017. From 2010 to 2018, manufacturing employment in Mexico has more than doubled for car, truck and auto parts, with 86% of those jobs specifically in auto parts production. The new, industry-exclusive report highlights many upward trends seen in today’s $23.8 billion auto care industry in Mexico.
