Tenneco has introduced four additional Monroe® suspension conversion kit part numbers covering thousands of SUVs equipped with factory-installed air spring suspensions. The Monroe kits are an economical, high-quality alternative that enable technicians and skilled do-it-yourselfers to convert worn air spring, hydraulic self-leveling and/or electronic suspensions to conventional mechanical suspensions without activating the vehicles’ electronic warning signals.
The following new Monroe suspension conversion kits are now available through leading replacement parts suppliers:
  • 90021 - 2003-2009 Hummer H2 (rear, air-ride to coil spring)
  • 90022 - 2003-2009 Lexus GX470 and Toyota 4Runner (rear, air-ride to coil spring)
  • 90023-1/ - 2007-2013 Ford Expedition & Lincoln Navigator (rear, 90023-2 - air-ride to coil spring, left and right)

In addition to these applications, Monroe conversion kits are available for millions of other popular Buick, Cadillac, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, GMC, Isuzu, Oldsmobile, Lexus, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles equipped with factory air-ride, hydraulic self-leveling or electronic suspensions. Each Monroe kit is engineered to restore factory ride height and provide stable, comfortable ride and handling performance and includes the detailed installation instructions, parts and hardware for a superior fit and trouble-free installation. Kits can be installed without the need to make any structural changes to the vehicles.

“Monroe kits have been very popular for several years among many service providers, yet we see an opportunity to help shops grow their share of this promising category,” said Adam Richardson, senior product manager, North America Aftermarket Ride Control, Tenneco. “We will continue to invest in new coverage as well as extensive new, user-friendly installation tools and related support.”

Tenneco offers a library of conversion kit-related technical support materials, including installation instructions, at www.monroe.com. Technicians and other customers can also watch vehicle-specific installation videos for the Lexus GX470 and Lincoln Navigator kits by accessing the “TennecoInc” channel on YouTube.
