The National Advisory Council of the Automotive Distribution Network recently met in Charlotte and visited Hendrick Motorsports’ nearby state-of-the-art campus with Parts Plus/Great Clips Top Fuel driver Clay Millican during a tour hosted by Valvoline.

“Comprised of some of the Network’s best jobbers and service dealers, the National Advisory Council gained greater insight into Valvoline’s extensive testing and product lines,” says Bob Barstow, the Network’s vice president of marketing. “The Council was impressed with how well Valvoline has utilized racing as a testing resource that in turn can provide useful information for passenger vehicles.”

During the Hendrick Motorsports tour, Valvoline reps provided an overview of quality- control procedures and provided an overview of future products currently being tested in racing. The Council also checked out Rick Hendrick’s personal car collection, featuring more than 200 vehicles from the 1950s to present day.

“Decorated like a small 1950s town, the entire Hendrick facility was awesome and so clean, from the showroom displays to the engine manufacturing facility, where they make the engine blocks and cylinder heads,” says Raymond Wells, owner of a Parts Plus Car Care Center in Glen Burnie, Md. “Valvoline has always been a quality product, and this tour proved that they’re still a leader in oil and coolant innovation.”

Operating under the brands of Parts Plus, Parts Plus Mexico, IAPA and Auto Pride, the Automotive Distribution Network is one of the largest, most diverse program groups in the industry.
