SERVICE-EDU launches inaugural two-day training program in Phoenix area
Four unique training courses are scheduled from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 30. Courses are taught by leading industry trainers from Gates, MAHLE, NGK Spark Plugs and Timken. Each manufacturer’s training course is focused on their category of expertise with practical information on how to diagnose failures and repair them. Breakfast and lunch are included, with opportunities to win raffle prizes.
“We Can’t Do it Like We Used To – An Introduction to the Be System Smart I-60 and R-90 Initiative” will be presented by Bobby Bassett, manager of training NA for Gates. This session will explore root cause failures along with the effects they have on the accessory belt drive system (ABDS) and coolant system.
“Gaskets: More Than Meets the Eye” will be taught by Bill McKnight, marketing team leader – training for MAHLE. His presentation will look at head gaskets, manifold gaskets and ancillary gaskets.
“Spark Plug and Ignition Advancements” will be presented by Michael Durocher, technical training specialist for NGK Spark Plugs. The course takes an in-depth look at spark plug technology and engineering to help choose the best plug for every job.
“Timken Light Vehicle Technical Training” will be taught by Rick Domin, training and product support manager for Timken. His presentation provides a product line overview for bearings, hub assemblies, seals and lubrication. Installation tips and tricks and damage analysis will also be included.
