National Pronto Association adds Ancona Autopartes as member
National Pronto Association added Refaccionaria Automotriz Ancona S.A. de C.V., aka Ancona Autopartes, to its membership effective Aug. 13. Ancona has its headquarters in Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico, and is a leader on the Yucatan Peninsula in aftermarket auto parts.
Don Jorge Alberto Ancona, life president of Ancona Autoparts, started the company in 1987 with only 500 SKUs in one small store. Today they catalog more than 35,000 part numbers and provide service to more than 240,000 customers a year with seven stores: four in Cancun, one in Playa del Carmen, one in Tulum and recently Cozumel. The company will soon open two additional stores, a second one in Playa del Carmen and the first of four in Merida, Yucatan.
