Gabriel (Ride Control, LLC), the originator of the world’s first automotive shock absorber in 1907, announces it is on a fast path for growth.

Gabriel® (Ride Control, LLC), the originator of the world’s first automotive shock absorber in 1907, announces it is on a fast path for growth.

“The market demands more choices and we are committed to take Gabriel to the next level to serve those needs,” says George Ruhl, president and chief operating officer MAT Holdings. “Gabriel is a solid company with quality product and a strong manufacturing and distribution system. We are investing in Gabriel and our first step is an expanded Gabriel sales force.”

MAT Holdings announced its finalized purchase of Gabriel at AAPEX in 2012. In August of this year MAT Holdings licensed the rights to the historic Bendix® brand in the U.S.

“We have a new sales force in place to sell both brands’ products to the light- vehicle channel,” says Duncan Greathead, vice-president sales and marketing, GRI Engineering and Development. “This group hit the ground running on Monday.”
