Sept. 22, 2014
Delphi Product & Service Solutions announces 205 new fuel modules, three new electric fuel pumps, eight new universal fuel pumps, and 54 new hanger pump assemblies added to Delphi’s fuel management portfolio cover more than 38 million vehicles built from 1965 to 2014.

Delphi Product & Service Solutions announces 205 new fuel modules, three new electric fuel pumps, eight new universal fuel pumps, and 54 new hanger pump assemblies added to Delphi’s fuel management portfolio cover more than 38 million vehicles built from 1965 to 2014, including Ford, Chrysler, Dodge, Chevrolet, Mercury, Volvo, Toyota, Nissan, and Hyundai applications.

What Fuel Modules, Pumps, and Hanger Pump Assemblies Do
Delphi fuel modules, pumps, and hanger pump assemblies are designed to deliver an immediate, uninterrupted flow of fuel to the engine’s fuel rail and injectors at the specified system pressure, resulting in more efficient operation.

Delphi fuel modules, pumps, and hanger pump assemblies are designed to withstand harsh alcohol fuel blends and provide dependable, long-lasting performance, quick pressure rise and quiet, efficient operation.

Additionally, where required, fuel assemblies include integrated fuel level sensing components that deliver an accurate reading of the fuel level in the tank to the fuel gauge. Fuel modules typically include a fuel vapor pressure sensor that detects any leaks in the fuel tank or associated evaporative emissions components.

Why Fuel Assemblies Fail
Original equipment fuel modules, which house the electric fuel pump, typically operate for seven to ten years before failure, depending on a variety of circumstances. Premature failures can be caused by extreme hot/cold environments, contaminated fuel or excessively running a vehicle on an empty tank. Running on empty does not keep the fuel pump fully submerged and can cause the pump to overheat.

THREE REASONS TO CHOOSE DELPHI’S FUEL MODULES
1.  With the Benefit of More Than 100 Years of OE Heritage, it’s in Our DNA
Delphi fuel assemblies are built with OE-tested and validated components. As a world leader in fuel pump technology and an OE manufacturer, we design and build our fuel modules and pumps with dependable, reliable parts that you and your customers can trust.

2.  Built to Withstand Today’s FuelsWith gasoline retailers now authorized to sell alcohol fuel blends containing 15 percent ethanol, Delphi fuel assemblies have undergone durability testing to ensure that they withstand up to 22 percent ethanol. In addition, Delphi has proactively upgraded many older model fuel pumps/modules designs with the latest technologies so that your Delphi replacement fuel pump will perform properly in today’s environment.

3.  Designed to Meet or Exceed OE Performance Specifications
Delphi fuel pump assemblies are built with OE-validated parts and include OEM-grade wiring, electrical connectors and level sensor assemblies that deliver increased performance, durability and reliability over other aftermarket fuel pumps.

As a leading Tier 1 supplier to the top 25 global vehicle manufacturers, we understand the vehicles that technicians service and apply our OE engineering and high quality standards to every part we sell.  That’s the Delphi difference. Learn more about Delphi at delphiautoparts.com.

Delphi Announces 19 Mechanical Fuel Pumps

Delphi Product & Service Solutions announces expanded fuel coverage includes 19 mechanical fuel pumps. Part numbers:  MF0100, MF0103, MF0104, MF0105, MF0106, MF0108, MF0109, MF0111, MF0112, MF0113, MF0114, MF0115, MF0116, MF0117, MF0119, MF0120, MF0121, MF0124 and MF0125.

What Mechanical Fuel Pumps Do
Mechanical fuel pumps, which work with older-model carbureted systems, deliver fuel flow to the engine. Sitting at the front-lower portion of the motor, the pumps are lever-operated. An internal diaphragm draws fuel from the tank through lines running the length of the vehicle and pushes the fuel into the carburetor.

Why Mechanical Fuel Pumps Fail
Wearable components, such as the rubber diaphragm, eventually break and cause fuel leakage. The diaphragm will wear out before the fuel pump stops operating. Because the diaphragm is sealed within the assembly, the entire mechanical fuel pump must be replaced.

THREE REASONS TO CHOOSE DELPHI MECHANICAL FUEL PUMPS
1.  Manufactured to Quality Standards
Because we have the benefit of more than 100 years of OE heritage, you and your customers can trust that each Delphi mechanical fuel pump is validated, tested and matched to the right vehicle application.

2.  Comprehensive Selection of Fuel Systems
With many older-model cars still on the road, we understand that shops need to be able to offer customers a range of quality fuel systems – no matter the age of their vehicle. By increasing our coverage of mechanical fuel pumps, Delphi ensures shops have access to pumps for carbureted applications, as well as electronic fuel assemblies for today’s vehicles.

3.  Supplier to Global OEMs
As a leading Tier 1 supplier to the top 25 global vehicle manufacturers, we understand the vehicles that technicians service and apply our OE engineering and high quality standards to every part.
