Following a positive reaction from attendees at June’s Automechanika Dubai Exhibition, SLAMSTOP is launching its universal automotive soft door-closing system into Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.
The company also displayed its new product at the 2013 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show as it seeks to further establish sales networks in North America, Europe and Asia.
Designed in Europe and manufactured in South Korea, “SLAMSTOP provides great business opportunities for dealers, distributors and retail shops,” according to CFO Dmitry Iurgens. “We offer you a useful innovation with strong demand, a high margin for you and a new and attractive way to employ your installation capacity.”
The device, which can be easily installed by technicians using standard tools, “helps avoid an unpleasant slam by mechanically closing the door softly,” he says. “SLAMSTOP mechanically catches a slightly closed door and elegantly pulls it into fully closed position, so you don’t need to apply force.”
Such systems were previously found only as an OEM option for luxury vehicles, says Iurgens, noting that SLAMSTOP has “universal compatibility regardless of car make, model or age.”
