Centric Parts hires Tim Wu as supplier quality engineer

Centric Parts hired Tim Wu to fill the newly created position of Supplier Quality Engineer.

Centric Parts, a manufacturer and supplier of aftermarket brake components and systems for import and domestic cars and trucks, hired Tim Wu to fill the newly created position of Supplier Quality Engineer.

“We are excited to welcome Tim aboard,” said Director of Engineering Steve Ruiz. “He will be a great addition to our engineering team because of his experience in PPAP/APQP, DFSS and Supply Chain Quality Management. He will be responsible for expanding and refining our comprehensive approach to process documentation and quality planning with our suppliers.”

Besides earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University, Wu has work experience that includes Tier 1 OEM automotive suppliers in transmission, suspension and NASCAR engine building, as well as stints at Sixxon, Fox Suspension, TRD and Moog Aircraft Group.

He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in mechanical manufacturing processes, AS9100, AIAG-ISO/TS16949 quality system management, cost reduction strategic global sourcing, new product development project management, Six Sigma/Lean manufacturing, DFM/FMEA and CAD Model Based Inspection validation.

In addition, Wu is proficient in essential engineering and quality software such as Matlab, Pro/E Wildfire, Master Cam, Ansys, Minitab, FEA, QI Macros SPC, TIP QA, Visio, ERP system; and speaks fluent Mandarin and Taiwanese.
