The Gates Corporation announces aftermarket leadership changes
The Gates Corporation named Jeff Brekke Executive Vice President of the company’s Global Aftermarket business in addition to his current role as President of North America Aftermarket.
"I am pleased to have Jeff and Jack assume expanded leadership roles for the company,” said James Nicol, Chairman and CEO of Gates. “They bring extensive Aftermarket knowledge and experience to the organization and will be tremendous assets to Gates as we continue to focus on meeting our global financial objectives, expanding our product offerings, and creating aggressive and strategic customer growth initiatives.”
Brekke has 33 years of aftermarket industry leadership experience working with Gates customers in global operating environments and will continue to shape the direction of the business in his expanded role.
Ramsey has served in numerous leadership roles since joining Gates in 1993, most recently as sales and divisional vice president. In that role, he had responsibility for the Gates business relationship with National Automotive Parts Association (NAPA), Genuine Parts Company, and Quaker City Motor Parts.
Ramsey has also held a variety of senior management roles as Gates Western sales manager and product group manager. He has extensive experience and background in sales, marketing, and product management within Gates Automotive Aftermarket and Fluid Power divisions. Ramsey is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a degree in marketing.
“Throughout this career, Jack has demonstrated solid leadership skills with a strong track record of generating deliverables that help make our company and customers successful,” said Brekke. “I’m looking forward to working with Jack to increase growth and development opportunities across the business.”
Ramsey has relocated to the greater Denver, Colo. area from Atlanta. He will work from the Gates worldwide headquarters in Denver.
