NAPA Rayloc upgrades friction formulations for all replacement brake pads

Jan. 1, 2020
NAPA Rayloc has upgraded the friction on all of its replacement disc brake pads with the most modern, advanced formulas.

To exceed the auto aftermarket’s need for the highest quality, application-engineered brake pads, NAPA Rayloc has upgraded the friction on all of its replacement disc brake pads with the most modern, advanced formulas.

“Cars today are more technologically advanced and last longer than ever before,” says Mike Gaffney, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, NAPA Rayloc. “Our aftermarket friction formulations are ideal for today’s vehicles, by providing superior, long-lasting stopping power along with little to no noise and vibration – at a variety of price points.”

“With this newly upgraded family, we are offering truly differentiated lines of brake pads, with superior friction, shims and hardware, plus OE-matched features for virtually every vehicle on the road today,” Gaffney says, noting that product packaging has also been upgraded to help installers match the perfect pad to each customer.

“We want to give stores and service providers all the tools they need to build relationships with their customers based on trust and open knowledge,” he adds. “Our differentiated product line, intuitive packaging, and the field support provided by NAPA Rayloc make that possible.”

With the industry’s widest array of “good-better-best” options to meet virtually every vehicle and driving condition, the newly upgraded line includes:

• Adaptive One® -- With the industry’s most advanced technology, these pads are the only dual ceramic formulated disc brake pads on the market. The inner pad is specially formulated for optimal stopping performance while the outer pad eliminates noise and dust. The combination of two ceramic formulas helps the pads consistently adapt to a variety of driving styles and braking conditions, including wide temperature variations. The pads also feature rubber-coated hardware to further dampen noise and vibration.

• NAPA Ultra-Premium – Designed for the discriminating customer who needs a brake restoration, not just a brake repair, these new pads are available in both ceramic and semi-metallic formulas. Specialty friction materials are available for fleet, police and other severe duty applications, and hardware kits are included in many SKUs.

• NAPA Premium – With industry-leading application coverage, these new pads offer the most extensive line of friction materials in the industry, making them the workhorse of many professional shops. The friction formulas are designed to last longer and wear better, providing premium performance at mid-level pricing. They also provide silent braking with exclusive Silent Guard™ shim technology, better stopping performance, smooth pedal feel and proper fit. Hardware kits are also included in hundreds of NAPA Premium SKUs.

• Proformer – Perfect for a good, solid brake job at a reasonable price, these brake pads are available in both ceramic and semi-metallic formulations. All formulations offer quiet braking and dependable performance, even for older and late-model applications.

Matching Hardware
NAPA has included hardware kits in hundreds of additional disc brake pad sets across all its brands to ensure customers have everything needed to complete the Perfect Brake Job®.

“Worn hardware may look fine, but can cause heat damage, premature wear, reduced gas mileage and potential brake failure,” Gaffney says. “A small investment in fresh hardware can maintain optimal brake performance and maximize service life.”
