“We’re excited about this latest release of NVPP that keeps customers updated on vehicles hitting the road every month,” said Mark Seng, Polk’s global aftermarket practice leader. “Our customers now have access to near real-time vehicle population data and the ability to analyze more than 110 vehicle attributes. More importantly, they now can review their catalog application coverage against the latest population of cars and trucks on the road.”
The new NVPP solution is VIN-based for the clearest and most complete view of the vehicle population. Users have the ability to determine vehicle age by the exact month of a vehicle’s first registration, rather than by model year, and to understand which vehicles are still with their initial owners and which have been sold multiple times. It also covers Class 4-8 vehicles, in addition to light vehicles, giving users a more comprehensive view of the VIO.
Quarterly releases of NVPP are available less than four weeks after the end of each quarter. “However, we’re working with several customers who are interested in getting data more frequently than that – perhaps monthly,” said Seng. “We’re excited to work with any customer looking to depart from the traditional batch-mode of doing things. In today’s world, speed is king, and we understand our customers need to be first in getting coverage to market.”
