Fuel, lubricants distributor adds Mighty Division

Parent Petroleum, Inc. is the latest oil and lubricants distributor to acquire a Mighty Auto Parts franchise. The new business, Mighty of Greater Chicago, is a wholesale supplier of specialty automotive products and will operate in conjunction with Parent’s Lubricants Division.

Founded in 1983, Parent Petroleum specializes in the service and sales of petroleum products to retail, commercial and industrial customers. Today, Parent supplies more than 350 gasoline stations. Headquartered in St. Charles, the company operates divisions in fuel, lubricants, retail and real estate. The Fuels Division markets BP, Shell, ExxonMobil, Citgo, Marathon, Phillips and Clark brands. The Lubricants Division is one of Castrol's leading distributors. They also feature lubricants from ConocoPhillips and their “house” brand named Dominion 3. Through their new Mighty operation, they will complement their lubricants sales with Mighty-branded preventive maintenance products including filtration, wipers, lighting products, batteries, brakes, belts, shop supplies and chemicals.

Regarding their new acquisition, Pete Mancini, President, states, “Parent Petroleum has hundreds of loyal lubricant customers. They appreciate us being their supplier and partner. By adding a Mighty franchise, they’ll appreciate what we can do for them even more.”

Dave Martinez, VP Lubricant Sales & Marketing adds, “Mighty offers our customers cost savings through improved inventory management. The Mighty opportunity complements the value-added approach we are known for in our business. We can now provide our lubricants customers with a full service solution.”
