A.R.E. opens new manufacturing operations in Ohio

The 70,000-square-foot facility is designed to increase productivity while maintaining quality, safety, cleanliness and organization. "We recognized a strong need to expand our manufacturing operations with this Dundee facility after experiencing growing market share in our commercial business and increased fleet activity," says Jim Blayne, National Fleet Sales Manager at A.R.E. "This growth also led to a need for more custom-molded fiberglass production at our current Mt. Eaton facility. Moving aluminum production to Dundee allows us to organize our operations for more efficient output, as well as manufacturing the best quality products at both locations."
The new assembly line at Dundee was thoughtfully designed for maximum through put. Raw materials and sub-assemblies flow precisely where and when they are needed to avoid traffic jams on the line. Necessary tools are accessible at arm's reach, and all air hoses hang from the ceiling, out of the way, to prevent tripping and improve safety at the plant. A.R.E. has also expanded its welding area to create more space and better work area lighting for the welders.

A.R.E. has been hiring employees for both the Mt. Eaton and the Dundee plants due to recent customer demand and currently has 700 employees. There are 65 employees at the Dundee facility.
