Company extends global supply chain research coverage to consumer sector

Dahlman Rose & Company has appointed Neil Currie as managing director, Global Head of Consumer Research, effective immediately.

Dahlman Rose & Company, LLC, an investment bank specializing in the global supply chain, announced tthat it has appointed Neil Currie as managing director, Global Head of Cons umer Research, effective immediately. In the new position, Currie will focus on the food, drug and discount retail sectors, extending Dahlman Rose's focus areas beyond the global transportation, energy and commodity sectors to the consumer sector.

"This new vertical complements the sectors we currently cover and is a natural extension of our global supply chain focus to the end consumer," says Simon Rose, Chief Executive Officer of Dahlman Rose. Currie, 46, has more than 20 years of experience as a Wall Street. Prior to joining Dahlman Rose, he served as Managing Director at UBS Securities, where he led the U.S. consumer practice, covering food, drug and discount retailers for over 10 years.

He has been a repeat member of Institutional Investor magazine's All-America Research Team in the Retail, Food and Drug Sector and has been featured in the "Best on the Street" survey as published by The Wall Street Journal, receiving the top ranking in 2005. In addition, Currie has won several prestigious awards during his time in the United Kingdom (UK) as a retail analyst with SG Warburg (now UBS) and Credit Lyonnais Securities. Prior to his career in finance, Neil worked in retail marketing at Tesco PLC.
