Congressman Latta commented that he was impressed by the ways BASF Whitehouse helps educate teachers and students about science and chemistry. He has the ninth most heavily industrialized district out of more than 400 members of Congress, therefore, he places a priority on direct contact with and knowledge of the businesses and industries he represents.
For example, BASF recently participated in the Ohio Chemistry Technology Council’s T.I.E. (Teachers, Industry and Education) conference by sponsoring the attendance of two teachers from the local school district and by personally participating in the education of the teachers.Congressman Latta also enjoyed a tour of the BASF Whitehouse site, the highlight of which was seeing BASF’s new artificial intelligence program for color matching in action. This patented, pioneering technology was announced on the day of Congressman Latta’s visit.
