Three Students Awarded Larry W. McCurdy Memorial Scholarships

Three students have been selected as recipients of scholarships from the Larry W. McCurdy Memorial Scholarship Fund, established by Affinia Group Inc. within the University of the Aftermarket Foundation.

Three students have been selected as recipients of scholarships from the Larry W. McCurdy Memorial Scholarship Fund, established by Affinia Group Inc. within the University of the Aftermarket Foundation to honor McCurdy, chairman of the board of Affinia Group Inc., who passed away in August 2010.

The Larry W. McCurdy Memorial Scholarship Fund awards three $2,500 scholarships per year to students in four-year programs preparing for aftermarket careers in engineering, business, accounting or other professional positions.  The recipients for the 2014-2015 academic year are:

•    Masey Peone, Ellensburg, Wash. – a rising senior at Central Washington University pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Marketing/Advertising

•    Megan Coburn, Brighton, Mich. – a rising senior at Albion College pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Business

•    John Coolidge, Winfield, Ill. – an incoming freshman at Indiana University-Bloomington pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing
