LOS ANGELES - The Carter Fuel Delivery brand - a source of championship-caliber fuel system components - has introduced an extensive selection of ultra-high-flow HI-Performance Premium HP in-line electric fuel pumps covering virtually any high-output street performance or racing application.Carter Fuel Delivery Products, the name behind the original Carter AFB carburetor, are produced and marketed by global automotive parts manufacturer Federal-Mogul Corporation.
The new Premium HP In-Line Electric pumps are designed for the most demanding carbureted, forced air induction and fuel injected applications, and can be used in applications ranging from 200 to 1,100 horsepower. Each pump model is engineered to provide consistent, unsurpassed flow ratings within its class as well as exceptional reliability. These pumps include:
P4700HP: 800-hp EFI engines with supercharger or nitrous; 660-lb./hour max. flow; 8 to 45 psi. Drag racing-style upgrade that helps prevent fuel starvation issues at peak RPM.
P4701HP: 200- to 600-hp carbureted engines; 900-lb./hour max. flow; 18 to 20 psi. Ideally suited to newly installed engines on which a standard mechanical pump can't deliver adequate flow.
P5000: MFI engines; 45 GPH max. flow; 22 to 27 psi. Engineered for upgraded applications already equipped with standard in-line pump.
P5001: TBI engines; 50 GPH max. flow; 9 to 22 psi. Upgrade for applications originally equipped with in-line pump.
