LOS ANGELES - In addition to its performance cat-back and more aggressive Magnapack cat-back systems, MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust now also offers several bolt-on Tru-X crossover pipe options, with or without catalytic converters, for the 2005-08 4.
In addition to its performance cat-back and more aggressive Magnapack cat-back systems, MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust now also offers several bolt-on Tru-X crossover pipe options, with or without catalytic converters, for the 2005-08 4.6-liter Mustang GT. The first three options include 2.5-inch mandrel-bent tubing and MagnaFlow's unique Tru-X crossover design.
Each assembly bolts on between the factory exhaust manifold and MagnaFlow's cat-back exhaust system. The Tru-X crossover pipe reduces backpressure and optimizes engine exhaust pulses. This creates a scavenging effect, which improves cylinder evacuation, resulting in improved horsepower and torque, with noticeably reduced dB levels.

Of these three options, the first includes MagnaFlow's standard converter body with a ceramic substrate, the second includes MagnaFlow's new smaller spun converters with a metallic substrate for improved CFM, and the third is catless for maximum backpressure reduction and increase in performance. All are for off-road track use only. For street-legal performance, MagnaFlow offers a fourth option.  This is a Tru-X crossover pipe with 2.5-inch mandrel-bent tubing that clamps on directly behind the factory catalytic converters, allowing for the scavenging effect and backpressure reduction of the Tru-X, but still remaining 50-state legal, as it retains the OE converters.

All options feature stainless steel construction with mandrel-bent tubing, O2 sensor bungs (if applicable), and all necessary hangers and flanges, and are manufactured to ISO9001 quality standards for a perfect fit.
