Chicago Parts & Sound (CPS) has selected MAM Software’s Autopart software as its go-forward business management solution at its 11 locations.

CPS was established in 1978 and has been helping car dealerships improve profitability and achieve high levels of customer satisfaction by providing value-added products and installation services.

The company is a distributor of OEM and Tier-1 Auto Parts in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin with more than 2,000 clients in 10 states. Additionally, CPS is recognized by its dealership, fleet and municipal clients as a source of OEM-quality replacement parts, emergency vehicle modification services and specialty parts distribution.

Earlier this year, CPS acquired Precision Service and Parts, a traditional hard parts distributor headquartered in Brookfield, Wisc. Precision ran its operation with Autopart from MAM Software as its business management solution. The acquisition prompted a technology review for the rest of the company to establish the best go-forward technology strategy.

"Acquiring Precision Service and Parts opened our eyes, as we saw them utilizing modern technology to manage their growing business," said Amy Byrne, Vice President Operations at CPS.

"We were happy with our existing system as it has helped us get to where we are today. However, the more we looked at Autopart, the more we could see that there were tools that could help us take our business to the next level."

Available as either a traditional on-premise or cloud-hosted solution, Autopart combines modern .NET technology with a SQL database for unparalleled functionality and flexibility in a system designed specifically for the Automotive Aftermarket.

After an extensive evaluation, the company made the decision to expand Autopart to its entire operation as its go-forward software solution.

"We are delighted that CPS has chosen Autopart as business management solution for its company-wide operations," said Al Neal, Vice President of Sales for MAM Software.

"Historically, software used by an acquired company often gets decommissioned and replaced. The fact that CPS decided to incorporate Autopart with the rest of the company and build a stronger relationship with MAM Software is humbling. We appreciate their trust and we look forward to a strong working relationship."
