Timken offers training videos on bearing service
The Timken Company has created two new training videos in time for the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) in Las Vegas, Oct. 31-Nov. 2, 2017.
The latest Timken “Tricks of the Trade” videos guide technicians through simple steps for replacing press-in style wheel bearings as well as properly lubricating the wheel hub of Ford Super Duty Trucks:
- During light vehicle service, it can be difficult to remove the steering knuckle and replace the bearing without damaging parts. The new Timken video, Tips for Replacing Press-in Style Wheel Bearings, looks at using the appropriate tools to ensure an error-free job;
- Techs who work on the wheel hubs of F-Series trucks know it’s important to prevent moisture and contamination from causing problems in needle bearings supporting the axle shaft. In the second new Tricks of the Trade video, Wheel Hub Lubrication Tips for Ford Super Duty Trucks, Timken experts explain how to avoid these common hassles and headaches.
