MAM Software announces general release of auto parts listing tool for eBay

June 18, 2014
MAM Software Group launched a new auto parts listing tool for eBay to simplify and streamline the creation of auto part listings on the eBay marketplace in the U.K. and Ireland.

MAM Software Group, a global provider of on-premise and cloud-based business management solutions for the auto parts, tire and vertical distribution industries, launched a new auto parts listing tool for eBay.

The module integrates with MAM's Autopart business management software to simplify and streamline the creation of auto part listings on the eBay marketplace in the U.K. and Ireland. It also automatically processes incoming eBay orders without the need for manual data entry.

With MAM's Make Model Index (MMI) mapped to eBay's Master Vehicle List (MVL), users can produce 'parts compatibility' listings, which matches a single part to many compatible vehicles. This eliminates the need to produce multiple listings for each part, saving time and money, and makes it easier for parts to be found by buyers.

Autopart is MAM Software's business management solution for the automotive aftermarket. It combines sales, purchases, accounting and stock management into one integrated package, giving businesses one point of contact for all queries.

MAM Software has worked diligently to prepare the module for launch. The first pilot sellers who aided in testing the tool were pleased with the performance of the solution and the resulting sales. With further companies currently undergoing implementation, the module is now ready to take to the general market.

This effort was recognized last week when Auto Parts Delivered, one of the first pilot sellers, was awarded 'eBay Innovative Seller of the Year' at the annual eBay Motors Awards. Acknowledging the company's use of the tool, the company was praised for its use of leading-edge technology.

"We are delighted to have partnered MAM in developing, testing and bringing to market a new tool for eBay," said Alistair Evans, Marketing Manager at Auto Parts Delivered. "Keen to embrace and develop a multi-channel approach to market, we realized that eBay is an important and expanding channel in reaching a wider audience.

"We embraced MAM's Autopart parts management solution some years back, which enables us to meet the demands of garage customers by supplying parts, as well as integrating with our sales and stock management. MAM's new module for eBay enables us to seamlessly diversify our sales channels to a wider audience. In fact, our use of the module have just helped us to win the eBay Innovative Seller of the Year Award," Alistair Evans concluded.

"We're delighted that the module for eBay will now have the chance to help more businesses generate online revenue, as it has done for our test sites such as Auto Parts Delivered," said Nigel Clemett, Commercial Director at MAM Software.

"We are proud to develop new and intuitive tools that give businesses additional revenue streams. The module for eBay, like our range of e-commerce solutions and tablet apps, not only help our customers to generate extra sales, but also to reduce their costs in the process.

"Needless to say, our customers can expect our continued effort in developing new ways to utilize technology in order to improve their business performance."
