MAM Software has released its Autocat+ electronic catalog for warehouse distributors, jobbers and service dealers.

MAM Software has released its Autocat+ electronic catalog for warehouse distributors, jobbers and service dealers.

A cloud-enabled Data as a Service (DaaS) platform, Autocat+ provides direct access to updates from a wide variety of suppliers.  It offers a user-friendly interface with intuitive selection of vehicle information and product types on a single screen. VIN, Interchange and Buyers Guide searches deliver multiple methods to identify the right part and reduce lost sales.

Additionally, Autocat+ is designed to help businesses:

• Save time; eliminate disc-based updates
No need to wait for monthly DVDs that require installation when updating a catalog.  Suppliers submit data to the MAM Software team that, when processed, automatically appears in the catalog database.

• Improve efficiency and productivity:

Organize the interface for how your business works
Find the right products for each sale by controlling product categories and the display of search results.

Access information quickly
Search for year, make and model the same as before or customize preferences to search in ways that may make more sense to your business operations.

• Help employees better understand supplier descriptions
Customers have the ability to create notes allowing them to provide important information to assist in making the sale.

“It’s a game-changer,” said Jason Hall, Marketing Director of Team Allied Distribution, the United States’ largest independent warehouse distributor of automotive exhaust and one of Autocat+’s early adopters. “We’ve been using Autocat+ for about 6 months and have enjoyed the completeness of the accurate data because using wrong data can cost us to lose a customer. MAM Software has been instrumental in working closely with us to offer a solution for our everyday cataloging needs in one place. We see it helping our business by streamlining our data and we look forward to enjoying more of its advanced technology as we continue to grow.”

Suppliers also benefit from Autocat+’s ability to deliver information through the cloud. “Speed to market is key to compete in the aftermarket,” said Ryan Champney, Catalog Manager of GMB North America, Inc. “This applies not only to our products, but also to our ability to get information to our customers as well. With Autocat+, the time between when we release our file updates and when they are available to our customers has been reduced from months to as little as a week. This is time that our products can be selling, not waiting for the data to catch up.”

“We are pleased to hear these great initial responses from early adopters,” said Patrick Maley, President of MAM Software. “Our goal is to produce the fastest, most comprehensive catalog available so that the gap is closed between suppliers and customers. We are well on our way and look forward to gathering more feedback moving forward.”

Autocat+ is now available to MAM customers using its Autopart software for automotive aftermarket parts distributors or its OpenWebs B2B eCommerce solution.  For those businesses not already using MAM products, the software is also available as a stand-alone solution.

A description of Autocat+’s features is available on the MAM Software website. Suppliers who want more information about submitting data for inclusion in Autocat+, click here to send your information to the MAM Software team.
