Show me your truck: Beau Pettay, Cornwell Tools
Prior to starting his route approximately three years ago, Cornwell Tools dealer Beau Pettay says there hadn’t been a Cornwell dealer servicing the Charleston, S.C. market for nearly 10 years.
He has since established himself as a go-to dealer for customers needing tools and equipment in the area. Only on the job for nearly three years, Pettay realized he needed an upgrade.
“I needed more space," he says. "I had an 18' box truck before. I was just running out of room with the amount of volume I was doing.”
He decided on a 22’ 2016 Freightliner M2, purchased in March 2016.
While Pettay stops at a variety of different shops, he also stops at a local tech school every week. Students who graduate from full-time to night classes start working at local shops during the day.
“I actually see a lot of students twice a week,” Pettay says.
His goal? To “get them [tech school customers] acclimated with the tool truck and how it works.”

She is an active member of a number of industry groups, including the American Trucking Associations' (ATA) Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC), the Auto Care Association's Young Auto Care Networking Group, GenNext, and Women in Trucking.
In December 2018, Schueller graduated at the top of her class from the Waukesha County Technical College's 10-week professional truck driving program, earning her Class A commercial driver's license (CDL).
She has worked in the vehicle repair and maintenance industry since 2008.
