Lisle recently unveiled their 50600 Single-Spring Brake Tool for releasing the tension on large and small GM single spring brake systems. The new tool engages and more quickly releases the spring's tension, allowing for disassembly, brake shoe replacements and servicing the emergency brake cable or brake cylinder. This model supersedes Lisle's 49900, which works only on the smaller spring. Applications include 1991 to current Bonnevilles, LaSabres and Delta 88s; 1992 to current Buick Electras, Olds 88s, Cadillac Fleetwoods, Cadillac DeVilles, Chevrolet Lumina APVs, Pontiac Trans Sports and Olds Silhouettes; 1995 to current Chevrolet Luminas and Monte Carlos; 2005 to current Chevrolet Silverados; 2004 to current Chevrolet Colorados.
