    Hunter offers their SmartWeight balancing technology to help minimize the number of wheel weights a shop has to buy and use. This new method computes correction weights by measuring and evaluating the forces that cause vibration. This allows for establishing tolerance limits based on the amount of force needed to create a noticeable vibration, which translates to corrective weights only being used when a force exceeds what will cause a vibration. It also recognizes that not all wheel assemblies are the same size, and automatically adjusts the tolerances accordingly. Hunter feels the benefits of using the SmartWeight method include a reduction in the shop's wheel weight costs by up to 25 percent, and faster service times with more single-spin balances.
