partslink24 recently joined CIECA as a Corporate Member. The company was established in April 2019 and is a subsidiary of the German family-owned company LexCom.
The company develops e-commerce solutions for OEMs and employs 350 workers worldwide.
Alfredo de la Vega, general manager in North America, said the company learned about CIECA after working with OE car dealers and their customers.
“We joined CIECA in order to offer better connectivity for our tool, partslink24.com, which is an online ordering system for genuine parts with access to OE catalogs,” said de la Vega. “We want to be able to work with collision centers, insurance companies and other segments of the industry and communicate seamlessly.”
For many years, de la Vega worked in the automotive aftermarket industry where he used the standards defined by the Auto Care Association. He was also a member of Auto Care’s National Catalog Managers Association.
“Standards help reduce customers’ workload as well as ease the job of suppliers and reduce the amount of data we all transfer,” he said. “Rather than each company creating its own protocol, we are able to focus on enhancing the product / offer / service.”
