The Certified Automotive Parts Association, the global leader in aftermarket part certification, announces a new labelling program for certified plastic parts, such as bumper covers, that have a waterborne low volatile organic compound (VOC) primer.
Manufacturers of CAPA Certified plastic parts such as bumper covers, fenders, hoods and grilles who utilize waterborne primer systems will have the opportunity to have their primer tested and process validated in order to be approved to use the new label.
CAPA’s Validator, Intertek, will perform the VOC testing that will be required for the new CAPA labelling program. For additional information about Intertek’s VOC testing capabilities, visit http://www.intertek.com/chemicals/voc-testing/.
