DMA Industries is reinforcing its commitment to the Right to Repair movement, both nationally and in South Carolina. Industry leaders are working to attach the bill to the upcoming Highway Reuse Bill, a strategic step that could significantly improve its chances of passage.
Recently, Auto Care Association President Bill Hanvey testified before the House Energy and Commerce Committee, with encouraging feedback signaling growing bipartisan support. DMA's team remains active in supporting the Right to Repair movement and in September, CEO John Treece and President & COO Fred Snow participated in the Auto Care Association Legislative Summit in Washington, D.C., where they met with members of Congress, including South Carolina Representative Ralph Norman, to advocate for the REPAIR Act and the future of the automotive aftermarket.
Beyond the federal level, DMA also supports the act at the state level and prioritizes keeping its employees and local communities informed.
“Right to Repair is about protecting choice, supporting local repair businesses, and ensuring a competitive industry,” DMA leadership shared. “As a company rooted in South Carolina, we believe it’s our responsibility to stay engaged and help move this legislation forward.”
