MAHLE announces leadership transition in thermal and fluid systems business unit

MAHLE and Jumana Al-Sibai will part ways on Dec. 31, 2025, with Martin Wellhoeffer set to succeed her as head of the Thermal and Fluid Systems business unit, bringing over 20 years of experience to the role.

MAHLE and Jumana Al-Sibai —  a group management board member for MAHLE — are expected to mutually part ways on Dec. 31, 2025. 

Jumana Al-Sibai joined MAHLE in April 2021, where they were responsible for the "Thermal Management" business unit. In 2025, they started heading the new business unit "Thermal and Fluid Systems."

At a meeting on Dec. 2, 2025, the MAHLE Supervisory Board appointed Martin Wellhoeffer as Jumana Al-Sibai's successor. Wellhoeffer has worked for the MAHLE Group for more than 20 years and will take on his new role on Jan. 1, 2026. 

Prof. Dr. Heinz K. Junker, Chairman of the MAHLE Supervisory Board, said: “On behalf of the MAHLE supervisory bodies, I would like to thank Jumana Al-Sibai for her dedicated work during a challenging phase in the transformation of our company. She has my best wishes for the future, both for her career and for her private life.

“Martin Wellhoeffer has comprehensive knowledge of the MAHLE Group, including experience as a Group Management Board Member. In his most recent role as Chief Operating Officer, he has forged ahead in a focused way with the operational excellence of the “Thermal and Fluid Systems” business unit. This is why MAHLE’s supervisory bodies are convinced that he will lead the largest business unit in the group successfully into the future with his expertise,” said Junker.
