MEMA, The Vehicle Suppliers Association has named Jennifer A. Lewis as its newest vice president of regulatory affairs in a recent press release.
Lewis brings nearly 20 years of experience in federal regulatory enforcement and policy, having previously worked at the Federal Communications Commission, including serving as a senior attorney and assistant division chief in the Enforcement Bureau. There, she led investigations and enforcement actions related to data privacy, media compliance, and communications law, worked with major media and technology companies, and negotiated complex settlements impacting federal policy.
In her new role, Lewis will work closely with Ana Meuwissen, senior vice president of government affairs at MEMA, to lead regulatory strategy and engagement. She will represent supplier interests before federal agencies, and support members in navigating regulatory landscapes, in areas such as vehicle safety, data governance, new technology adoption, and cybersecurity.
“Jennifer’s experience at the intersection of law, technology and public policy makes her a tremendous asset to MEMA and its members,” Meuwissen said. “Her deep knowledge of the regulatory process and her track record of building consensus in complex legal environments will strengthen MEMA’s voice as we continue to engage on critical issues shaping the future of mobility.”
