O’Reilly Automotive has acquired a facility in Haslet, Texas, to serve as its 33rd distribution center, according to Supply Chain Dive.
Located within a Fort Worth suburb, the 560,000-square-foot facility will expand O’Reilly’s capacity within the Fort Worth market as well as in surrounding DCs, leading to overall growth in the South Central region of the U.S. It’s expected to start operations in 2027.
The move comes as O’Reilly has struggled with supply chain constraints in the Southeast and Eastern Mid-Atlantic region as it grows its store count.
Additionally, the company is almost done building another 530,000-square-foot distribution center in Stafford, Virginia, with stores to be transferred to that facility by the end of Q3, as shared by O’Reilly Automotive President Brent Kirby. It’s currently planned to begin servicing O’Reilly’s initial store base by the end of 2025.
The company’s larger regional facilities, such as the Stafford and Haslet centers, should be capable of accommodating up to 350 stores.
“We could not be more excited about the store development opportunities that these 2 new facilities will unlock for the company in both the largely untapped Mid-Atlantic region and in strong existing markets in the South Central U.S.,” said Kirby.
