• Auto Care Association schedules fall leadership days and legislative summit

The September event in Washington, D.C., will feature Hill visits and policy briefings.

The Auto Care Association will host its 2025 Fall Leadership Days and Legislative Summit Sept. 17-19, 2025, at the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.

For the third time, the Legislative Summit will be held in conjunction with the Fall Leadership Days event to harness the power and unity of the Auto Care Association's leaders and allies.

As stated in a press release, the Legislative Summit on Sept.18 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. is described as the only legislative fly-in specifically focused on issues impacting the independent aftermarket industry. The summit will feature education on relevant policy issues, remarks from top policymakers, individual meetings with members of Congress and their staff on Capitol Hill, and conclude with a rooftop reception overlooking the U.S. Capitol Building.

Fall Leadership Days brings together volunteer leaders of the association's member communities and advisory committees to discuss community and industry trends. Non-committee members may attend these meetings unless otherwise specified.

"The efforts we're seeing this summer to stop our industry's momentum of securing our right to repair are only ramping up," said Bill Hanvey, president and CEO, Auto Care Association. "I hope to see faces from across our industry at the Legislative Summit this fall, where we will speak in one unified voice with members of Congress on the importance of supporting our industry by passing the REPAIR act."

The Auto Care government affairs team will handle scheduling legislative meetings, distributing talking points, hosting briefings on critical legislative issues and lobbying procedures, and networking opportunities.

A registration fee is required for the Fall Leadership Days event, but is waived for official volunteer leaders. More information is available at autocare.org/leadershipdays.
