TRANSMISSION:
- Paddle shifting stops working until ignition is cycled. This can happen with a lot of aggressive paddle shifting in low gears. The transmission calculates that the clutches are getting hot and will disable paddle shifting until a key-off event. The software has been changed to bring back the paddle shifting function as soon as clutch temperatures are reduced. The cluster will also provide a message to the driver, informing him/her that paddle shifting has been disabled.
- Vehicle will not stay in Sport mode. This happens whenever the vehicle is shifted out of drive. The update software keeps the vehicle in Sport mode until the driver deselects the Sport mode or until the ignition is cycled.
- Launch shudder. This condition happens when the engine is started and the transmission is immediately shifted in drive and 15% or more throttle is applied.
- 1-2 or 2-3 upshift bump in cold temperatures between –22 degrees Fahrenheit and 50 degrees F.
- 2-3 upshift bump. This condition occurs when the driver lifts the throttle just before the transmission performs the 2-3 upshift.
- 3-2 downshift bump. This condition happens during light braking or coasting down with no throttle input.
- 7-6 downshift bump. This condition happens during light braking or coasting down with no throttle input.
To address owner concerns, both the TCM (Transmission Control Module) and the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) must be flash reprogrammed, using 12.02 or higher wiTECH software. Follow the correct flash reprogramming procedures, type all necessary information on an Authorized Modifications Label and attach the label near the VECI label.
