The National Catalog Managers Association (NCMA) is now accepting electronic and printed catalogs to be submitted for judging to receive the NCMA President’s Catalog Excellence Awards. Catalogs are evaluated in three distinct categories: printed catalogs, web catalogs and, new in 2012, mobile catalog applications.
The deadline for submissions is Friday, Jan. 13 and the awards will be presented at the 39th annual NCMA Knowledge Exchange conference, April 21-24 at The Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas, Nev.
The NCMA President’s Catalog Excellence Awards recognize the very best in printed and electronic catalog content and design. Recognizing the fast-emerging role of mobile computing in all aspects of business, NCMA will evaluate examples of mobile web applications for smart phones and tablets. Presentations are made at the Awards Luncheon on the final day of the annual conference.
NCMA is a professional society of the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) and serves the interest of those employed in the aftermarket in the fields of catalog or product information management. The Knowledge Exchange Conference is now in its 39th year and provides training and education; insights into industry events and trends; a trade show of vendors and solution providers; and networking with colleagues and peers. Conference registration will open in January.
Insights and observations from industry leaders continue to be an important part of the NCMA conference agenda. Keynote presentations in 2012 will include: Dil Kulathum, vice president, international, CARDONE Industries; Shane Evangelist, CEO, U.S. Auto Parts; and Mark Seng, vice president, global aftermarket – commercial sales, Polk.
"The NCMA Knowledge Exchange has grown to be the largest and most important gathering of those professionals who supply the data that fuels the automotive aftermarket," said NCMA president Milt Grimes, coordinator, global catalog services, CARDONE Industries. "Catalog judging and presentation of the President’s Awards is a great way to recognize the very best work of our members. We urge all of our members, vendors and friends of NCMA to save the dates, April 21-24, and plan to join us in Las Vegas."
