NC Transportation Maintenance Council to hold scholarship fundraiser

Organization provides details on becoming a sponsor, participating in the raffle or submitting an application to receive scholarship.

The NC Transportation Maintenance Council, an organization dedicated to training, personal development and safety for vehicle maintenance professionals, will be sponsoring a scholarship fundraising event for high school vocational programs on May 22. This Sporting Clays Event will be held at Hunting Creek Preserves in Harmony, N.C. 

A drawing will be held on Thursday, May 22 for raffle tickets, and participants do not have to be present to win. Tickets cost $20 each, or three for $50. Prizes include:

  • Grand Prize: Beretta 12 Gauge A400 Autolander Shotgun from Triad Freightliner (Greensboro, NC)
  • Second Place Prize: Two-person bird hunt from Riverbend Sportsman's Resort (Fingerville, SC)
  • Third Place Prize: $250 gift certificate to Bass Pro Shops

The Top Talent Student earning a minimum 3.5 GPA from Iredell County Career Technology Career Center in Troutville, N.C. and Weaver Academy in Greensboro, N.C. will be awarded a Diesel and Heavy Equipment Scholarship to Central Piedmont Community College, Forsyth Technical College or Guilford Technical College.
