ASA Midwest to host live event to educate shop owners on Affordable Care Act

Titled "The Affordable Care Act and the Impact on Your Small Business," the educational event and dinner will be held Oct. 15 in Independence, Mo.

ASA Midwest has announced an upcoming Kansas City Chapter event to educate automotive repair shop owner members on recent changes to health insurance programs. Titled "The Affordable Care Act and the Impact on Your Small Business," the educational event and dinner will be held Oct. 15 at V's Italiano at 10819 East Hwy 40, Independence, Mo. 

Presented by Rocky Lenzini of Federated Insurance, the event will provide extensive insight to the effects of the Affordable Care Act (e.g. Obamacare) on small business. Specific details about what small and large employers are able to do with their commercial health programs will be explained.  

This discussion will include information about new requirement, taxes and fines for small employers beginning January 1, 2014 as well as how to manage the fixed cost of their programs. This presentation will include specifics about the states of Missouri/Kansas and will review what ASA-Midwest members can expect in 2014 and beyond.
