VIDEO: Tech Tip: How to perform a coolant flush

July 8, 2021
In this video, Flo-Dynamics' Scott Defebaugh will show you how you can perform a more thorough flush service with a simple connection to the pressurized coolant reservoir.

When performing an engine-off coolant service, there are two methods. The first is a fast and easy vacuum and fill through the radiator cap (either on the radiator or the pressurized coolant reservoir). The second is a more thorough flush service through the upper radiator hose. On some newer vehicles, accessing and connecting to the upper radiator hose can be difficult and time-consuming. In this video, Flo-Dynamics' Scott Defebaugh will show you how you can still perform the more thorough flush service with a simple connection to the pressurized coolant reservoir, also referred to by Ford as the degas bottle.
