Ford Motor Co. has issued a recall on several 2013 models due to possible faulty child safety locks on rear doors.
The Dearborn automaker says the locks may have been installed improperly because a supplier sent the wrong parts. Vehicles included in the recall are some 2013 Ford Focus, C-Max and Escape vehicles. Ford says it is not aware of any crashes or injuries.
The recall cover more than 5,600 vehicles in the U.S. and 859 in Canada. Ford discovered the problem in November and halted shipment of the vehicles from its Wayne facility.
