Forward Lift affiliates available to professionally inspect any shop lifting equipment

July 21, 2014

Six more employees of Forward Lift distribution/installation companies have achieved Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) Lift Inspector Certification so far this year, joining nine others from the inaugural class. While they are affiliated with Forward Lift for sales and service, the newly certified inspectors are qualified to professionally inspect lifts built by any manufacturer.

"One of the great features of the ALI Lift Inspector Certification Program is that all participants are tested on the same universal material," says John Uhl, sales and brand manager for Forward Lift. "The Forward Lift distributors and installers who have achieved ALI Certification can perform annual lift inspections for any shop owner, regardless of the lift brands or types installed. By continually adding certified inspectors, Forward Lift's distribution network is a growing resource for Forward Lift customers."

Annual lift inspections are required by ANSI/ALI ALOIM-2008, the national standard covering vehicle lift operation, inspection and maintenance. Certified Lift Inspectors follow standard procedures approved by ALI, so shop owners can trust they will not overlook any issues that could evolve into major problems. This prevents expensive repairs, maintains shop productivity and protects employees.

Each Forward Lift-affiliated ALI Certified Lift Inspector applies an individualized label to lifts that pass inspection. The labels list the inspection month and year, as well as the inspector's certification number.

The latest Forward Lift distributors and installers to add certified lift inspectors include:

Kam Hydraulics
Indianapolis, Ind.

Phil Leak Co.
Norwalk, Ohio

Shop Equipment Co.
Tigard, Ore.

Weco Inc.
Bradford, Ark.
