Q: Are the new oil specifications expected to lead to additional costs for customers?

A: These new oil specifications are definitely demanding and will require the use of new and, in some cases, more additive componentry to improve their performance. But, there are a number of factors that can influence the price of engine oil, so it is difficult to generalize. One thing that we understand well is that most of our customers are running a business. Our objective is to understand how their fluid selection best integrates into their operation and how it can positively affect their bottom line. This includes selecting a product that meets the technical requirements of all of the hardware they utilize, as well as considering the potential advantages of longer maintenance intervals and improved fuel efficiency. The introduction of these new oils gives us even greater flexibility to provide end users a fluid solution that reduces their overall operation and maintenance costs.
