The No. 17350 Pipe Stretcher Kit from Lisle Corp. is for use with an impact wrench to quickly stretch pipes, including stainless steel. Collet sets expand pipes from 1-5/8 inches to 4-1/4 inches. The tool can be used on the vehicle. Lisle says the pipe stretcher kit is a convenient, inexpensive alternative to hydraulic pipe expanders. The kit comes in a molded storage case.
Auto techs can use the kit to expand all types of exhaust pipe. Simply turn a 1-1/8-inch bolt with a ½-inch or ¾-inch impact wrench. If necessary, choose an appropriate aluminum adapter to use with the standard expander tool. The No. 3 adapter must be used with the No. 5 adapter. Threads and cone must be well lubricated.
