Standard Motor Articles Inc. (SMP) has introduced a complete line of TechSmart brand electronic throttle bodies. With coverage through the 2010 model year for General Motors and Ford vehicles, TechSmart offers more than 30 premium, OE direct replacement electronic throttle body units.
“Today’s drive-by-wire vehicles are growing increasingly complex. Technicians told us they needed a cost-effective solution to repair this common problem,” says Joe Donaggio, manager of new Article development for SMP. “TechSmart responded with a complete solution for replacing expensive OE electronic throttle bodies.”
Drivers may notice a loss in throttle response, non-responsive cruise control, or even a check engine light illuminated on their dash. These are all signs that their vehicle’s electronic throttle body could be malfunctioning. A TechSmart electronic throttle comes as a complete assembly including throttle position sensors to ensure that the problem is solved the first time.
SMP says TechSmart enhances OE Articles with problem-solving improvements, introduces new categories and provides cutting-edge technology. TechSmart parts are complementary to the SMP core Article offering. The initial launch featured 119 parts in 28 categories.
