Bartec USA LLC released the Tech200Pro, a diagnostic tool that incorporates TPMS sensor testing and activation, tread depth measurement and tire pressure checks, at the 2016 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show.

Kelly Nugent, national sales manager-west, says it is the only type of tool on the market that incorporates the three functions in a handheld device.

The Tech200Pro comes with a wall mounted, inductive charger, quick connect air fitting, and operates without the need for any other devices.

The company says the Tech200Pro has full TPMS sensor capability which allows the user to test sensor function, status, fitment, and pressure.  Tread depth measuring is very accurate at ±.1 millimeters, and can measure tread up to 22 millimeters (almost 7/8 inches).

The Tech200Pro’s menu prompts the user to measure tread in three places, showing a “profile” as well as the remaining tread.  The Tech200Pro also has a detachable “air hose/chuck” to measure “stick” pressure in the event the vehicle does not have TPMS, the TPMS sensor is not functioning, or the TPMS is an indirect type. Once the data for the entire vehicle is collected, the Tech200Pro then sends the information via wireless bluetooth to a PC or work station.
